Thank you for taking care of my mom and dad's headstone since 2007. I was very
happy to see it done today when I visited the grave since my mom passed away recently in October 2013. The
stone looks beautiful including the graving.
I would like to bring this to your attention. Right after my mother's deathon October 25, 2013, approximately 2 days later, I got a phone call from Lifestone trying to sell me an engraving on my dad's headstone for now my mother's death. I told them I have dealt with Memorials by Design in the past for my dad's headstone and engraving and probably deal with them again for my mom's. They told me that Memorials by Design are no longer in business. They get there stone from foreign countries and it will crumble . They continued to bother me by phone for days and there was always different sale people who called. I told them not to call me because they are harassing me with calls. This was a grieving period for me and my family and since I am an only child and my mom's caregiver and I thought it was very heartless. I also called my funeral director and he said they never give out information. So I don't know where they are getting the information from, but this has to stop. Something needs to be done and take into consideration what people are going through. I appreciate all you have done Chris. Thanks again. MC - Philadelphia PA |
It’s nice to know that in the most painful of times there are good people.
In my life there has not been a more painful and sorrowful event as the passing of my mother. And with this day comes the painful domino effect of planning the funeral service, the luncheon, the cemetery and the memorial headstone. The last chore was the choosing of the headstone. I met with four memorial companies. The first representative assured me that I would be sorry if I did not purchase the headstone from them. Another representative was pushy and double the cost and delivery time than our actual arrangements. Then I’ve learned of Memorials By Design, not by the tormenting phone calls by pushy morbid sales people, but by you, Chris. You met with my family at a time that was convenient with the entire family. You were informative and sympathetic to all of our many questions and demands. At no time did my family feel pressured by you in our selection or delivery time. You joked and sympathized with us and shared your experience with us, all of which made my family and I feel at ease with our decision. You walked us through the entire process, from the selection to, and including, the delivery and the setting of the stone. The headstone is beautiful and it honors the memory of our mother. You made this sorrowful time in our lives a little less painful with your professional yet personal manner. And this on behalf of my family, I thank you. Sincerely, MP - Philadelphia, PA |
